Wayne Mayes Championship 3-Man Team Event
The legendary Wayne Mayes will be memorialized during the 2016 World Skeet Championships with the inaugural Wayne Mayes Championship on Monday, October 3. During Mayes' early days of shooting in the 1960s and 1970s, team shooting was in its prime, and team events were a favorite of Mayes. To honor that, the Wayne Mayes Championship will feature a 3-Man Team event. Alternate Routes to NSC to Avoid Construction Traffic
Road construction on Culebra Rd./Hwy. 471 along the north side of the National Shooting Complex property has significantly slowed down traffic coming to the complex. With heavier-than-usual traffic during the World Skeet Championships and National Sporting Clays Championship, the problem is only likely to get worse. Focus and Muzzle Awareness I understand there should be some muzzle awareness while concentrating on the bird. Unfortunately, in my quest to focus harder on the dimples and ridges of the clay, I find that on a great many shots I have no muzzle awareness at all.
