NSSA is pleased to announce the appointment of two individuals to positions within the organization. Gary Burley is the new NSSA Director of Skeet. Burley is an avid skeet shooter and was an elected representative at state, regional and national levels within the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association in the UK, as well as being vice-president of the NorCal Skeet Shooting Association. He earned selection to the NSSA All-Zone Skeet Team in 2006 and has shot NSSA skeet competitively in three countries and 24 states, as well as living and shooting in five different zones. Rules Committee Offers Classification System Survey Results
The NSCA Rules and Classification Committee recently conducted an online survey of NSCA members to determine your opinions about the classification system, whether any changes were needed and how it might be improved upon. With 4,307 members responding, including 2,188 who took the time to add comments to their survey, the committee has a great deal of material to digest and opinions to consider. Bill McGuire Is 2016 National Champion, NSCA Tour Champion
In what was certainly one of, if not the best week of his shooting career, Bill McGuire capped off a year of exceptional shooting with a National Sporting Clays Championship and practically every major award NSCA offers. On Thursday night, McGuire was inducted into the NSCA Hall of Fame in recognition of his stellar shooting career. Along the way to earning his National Championship three days later, he also won Super Sporting and 5-Stand events, as well as the All-Around HOA for his cumulative scores in the main event, FITASC, K-Kup, and 5-Stand.
