For the first time at the World Skeet Championships, the National Shooting Complex has two new hospitality suites that are being made available for rent to World Shoot participants and vendors. Located in the newly constructed third vendor building, the new units are each 20 feet x 30 feet (600 square feet), with a glass store-front view to the north and easy access with numeric keypad lock. Win With New Games at the World Shoot
Participants at this year’s Mini World and World Skeet Championships will enjoy some new opportunities to win prizes with two new games that are planned for the events. Shooters who log a perfect 25 round in an event in the Mini or Main will receive a Golden Ticket, which you will take to a designated vendor we will announce. The 49th Annual National Skeet Shooting Hall of Fame Banquet will be held during the 2018 World Skeet Championships on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio SeaWorld/Westover Hills in San Antonio, Texas. NSSA will induct Helen Swetman and Billy D. Williams for achievements as shooters and Robert DeFrancesco as the Ray Boller Award recipient for his contributions and service to NSSA. Stuart Brown Is New HOA World Skeet Champion
Stuart Brown's lone 449x450 won the HOA World Skeet Championship for him outright on October 8, capping almost two weeks of preliminary, Mini World, and World Championship events at the National Shooting Complex. More than 800 shooters competed in one or more of the events that offered something for every shooter in every class. Last year's HOA World Champion, Michael Peterson, finished a target behind and claimed the runner-up spot after outlasting third-place Rebecca McCumber in the shoot-offs.
